As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we provide tailored mental health services and parenting support to meet the unique emotional and social needs of Somali women and families.
Our Vision
We envision a future where Somali families are emotionally strong, deeply connected, and fully supported with the mental health resources they need. Through trauma-informed care, community education, and culturally rooted parenting programs, we aim to break the stigma around mental health, reduce suicide risk, and prevent youth isolation and crime. Our vision is a compassionate, empowered community where every woman, parent, and child feels valued and equipped to thrive.
Our Mission
WWPSC supports the mental health, well-being, and parenting skills of Somali women by providing culturally and spiritually responsive care in a safe, judgment-free environment. We empower them to embrace their identities and strengthen connections with their children, families, and communities.
What we do
Women’s Wellness & Parenting Support Center has up to six programs that are all designed for women and children. We are adding more programs as we go, and curriculums are available upon request.

"I had the pleasure of attending several the parent classes program called circle of healing and other workshops targeted for women in abusive cycle in the community. The programs were organized and facilitated by experienced & licensed professionals in the mental health industry with more then 45 years of experience. I felt welcomed, relieved and gained clear understanding of my thoughts & feelings and I plan attending more programs. There’s stigma in minority communities such as the Somali community and taking the initiative to promote the wellbeing and mental health advocacy of Somali women is powerful, empowering them to speak up as many are suffering silence. growing generations including myself are encouraged to be silent in domestic abuse in relationships. It’s time for Somali women to speak & take up space, taking the first step & seek help for themselves & loved ones is critical. It’s never too late before your safety & your children are at risk. Thank you for your services!"
